Leo Robin moved to Hollywood and created some of the most memorable film scores from the era where he, known as “The Dean of Lyricists in Hollywood,” wrote songs for legendary movie stars including Betty Grable, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Carmen Miranda, Carole Landis, Carole Lombard, Clara Bow, Cary Grant, Claudette Colbert, Deanna Durbin, Dorothy Lamour, Gary Cooper, Jane Wyman, Jeanette MacDonald, Linda Darnell, Loretta Young, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich, Maurice Chevalier, Nancy Carroll, Ray Milland, Rose Marie, Shirley Temple, Tony Martin and W. C. Fields. The songs of Leo Robin were recorded by legendary stars including the Queen Ella Fitzgerald, jazz singer Billie Holiday, pianist Bill Evans, iconic crooners including Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Johnny Mercer and icons the likes of Al Jolson, Andy Williams, Anthony Newley, Carol Channing, Connie Francis, Diana Ross, Doris Day, Elvis Presley, Etta James, George Benson, Gladys Knight, James Brown, Johnny Mathis, Marvin Gaye, Pat Boone, Judy Garland and daughter Liza Minnelli.
